Another absolutely fantastic Monday Night Club took place yet again, with some stupendous lap times being set this week. The karts went flying around the tracks in what can only be described as a whirlwind as the drivers set some blistering lap times.
Same old story at Reading and something we have come to expect at Reading were we seen the all time lap record which was set by Paul Stevens back in 2011 beaten not once but three times. Some jaw dropping Karting skills on show here. Giovanni Morbidelli set a lap time of 20.40s beating the original record by over 300th of a second. Then it was Matt Cherng who hit a 20.37s lap time. On any other day these guys would get onto our prestigious hall of fame and have the title of all time lap record holder at Reading. But there is always drama at Reading and this week it was Jamie Sawyer who provided it with an absolutely amazing lap time of 20.28s lap time obliterating the previous record. Jamie went flying around the track in what was one of our most competitive events at Reading to date. If you want to know how to go fast at Reading come on down to the Monday Night Club.
Birmingham welcomed nine racers this week at our Monday Night Club of them five were newcomers who shone and proved that our regular drivers can be beaten! As Angus Mathieson makes his debut on our Hall of Fame with a speedy lap time of 23.966s. A few more sessions for Angus and we can potentially have another record breaker on our hands.
It was the totally opposite story at Letchworth as we were packed with 14 newcomers with a total of 24 drivers coming to take part in what is a truly great Karting experience at our Monday Night Clubs. A familiar name on the hall of fame this week from Letchworth as Munna Islam yet gain gets his name onto the hall of Fame with a great lap time of 21.70s.
